The pending trade war is still the most significant news story at the moment. China are hitting back with significant tariffs of their own and the situation could continue to boil over. Many analysts and institutions are concerned that a trade war can be as damaging to the world economy as the debt crisis in 2009. Perhaps a bit of fear-mongering, but time will tell.

Here is the video from today’s market briefing. We begin looking at Thursday’s price action and start identifying the minor swings, specifically the difference between impulse and reaction legs. We notice how the reaction legs were all a very similar size. This can allow us to anticipate where the next impulse leg may start. Once we understand how to map swings, we can use them to draw pivots and forks to help us forecast potential reversal areas. These techniques are shared in much more detail in the premium channels.
